Born and raised primarily in southern Virginia, Dr. Casiano also spent part of her childhood on the small island of Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands. She received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, College Park. Then, Dr. Casiano returned to Virginia to complete both medical school and residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine and has practiced medicine for over twenty years in several states, including Alaska. Because Dr. Casiano believes in emphasizing lifestyle changes to improve health, she studied at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine after completing programs through the Institute for Functional Medicine and Kresser Institute.
Dr. Casiano is blessed to be a wife and mother of six wonderful adult children. Over the years, she has activities such as sewing, quilting, and serving in church by playing piano and interpreting Sign Language
